# Garry Reed, The Loose Cannon Libertarian - Bush Nominates Computer for Supreme Court - hilarious.

Harriet Miers, the President's first and now long forgotten nominee, drew the wrath of the President's own party when it was discovered that she just wasn't conservative enough. She was not, for example, an Evangelical Born-Again Pentecostal Witness, did not favor immediate, simultaneous attacks of Iran, Syria, Uzbekiturkizakistan, and the poor Wahhabi neighborhood of En'ar ji Bahr on the Saudi Arabian coast, and was scandalized by charges that she used Hollywood left-winger Paul Newman's salad dressing, Newman's Own, on her artichoke salads.

# GeekWithA.45 - Happy New Year, 1944 - a tour de force. Lots of links likely worth reading, but I didn't chase them this morning since my wife's cold lays her Sunday morning karma yoga at my feet (washing dishes and refilling salt, pepper, tamari, and other condiment containiners). John Locke vs. Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Individualism vs. collectivism. The geek thinks that individualism will win, it being the core of the American psyche. But the form of collectivism that has taken root here is sneakily disguised. So much so that those who have swallowed it don't even realize that they are communists in drag. [geekwitha.45]

# The Dissident Frogman - Battle Orders - after nearly a year's absence, the Frogman returns to the blogosphere. I never followed his blogging closely, but I remember his name, and this is an entertaining post. [samizdata]

1. OBJECTIVE

...

c) To get an NRA Membership. I know it's not strictly related, but I would argue that this is definitely a required asset for any decent dissident in the Socialist monarchy de France. Plus it's wickedly cool, particularly if you're not an American citizen.

d) To have lots of fun in the process, and hopefully to p* off as many Statists (both on the Left and the Right) and Islamofascists as possible, if anything for the tiny bit of extra added fun induced by the quiet confidence that they will blow a fuse whenever they'll hit these pages.

...

2. ENEMY

a) The usual crowd really: Socialists from the Left, Socialists from the Right, Islamists and their dhimmis fellow travelers, Anti-Semites and Christianophobes, Sovereignists, Nationalists, National-Socialists, International-Socialists, Transnationalists, Statists and Stasists, in short, authoritarians and Idiotarians of all kind, race, color and persuasion.
