# Kevin Tuma - Gas Pump - cartoon commentary on the rising price of gasoline. Cute.

# Sunni Maravillosa - REAL ID Rebellion - a central repository for opposition to the National ID. I changed the "666" icon at the top of the left column of this page to point there (the text still links to Patrick McGoohan's The Prisoner rant). [sunni]

# Elias Alias at The Claire Files Forum - Anger - Good NID rant. There's another good Elias rant in this thread here. [clairefiles]

The NID historically has only one usage by any government - a triptych of tyranny and slavery and genocide. As Claire emphasized, this is a defining moment. This is the cast in the dye. This is the signal by the Elite that the takeover of America from within is now openly transforming itself from the secretive incrementalism of past decades and is confidant enough to literally declare its intent. I note sadly that this is not coming from a rebel's cave in Afghanistan, but by the U.S. Congress itself. It is now clear that this government is a criminal syndicate in the hands of the globalizing socialist bankers of the New World Order, and it is also clear that to install compliance with this new tyranny (and other soon-to-come assaults on our American way of life) this criminal syndicate intends to use the threat and/or delivery of domestic "terrorism" to enforce the popular consensus. Smarter men than I agree that these neo-con Nazis who pose as Democrats and Republicans inside the infrastructure and hierarchy of government are very likely to pitch one more grand "terror" event in order to cement their fascist control domestically.

# Garry Reed, The Loose Cannon Libertarian - Cartoon Libertarians - why Mr. Reed isn't unhappy about Julia Gorin's Party One, a Wall Street Journal article bashing libertarians. It only means we've moved from being ignored to being laughed at in Ghandi's "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." But he forgot to mention the Zero Aggression Principle, which I doubt Ms. Gorin has heard of.

# Tim Bradner at The Alaska Journal of Commerce - Galena opens the door to nuclear project - the city council of a small community in Alaska has approved a project by Toshiba to build a nuclear "battery". Interesting. More stories here and here. [smith2004]

The 4S reactor unit is referred to as a battery because it does not have moving parts, and once installed, its fuel will not need to be replaced as in conventional nuclear reactors.

The reactor unit is 50 feet to 60 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet in diameter. It will be built outside of Alaska, installed in the Yukon River community, encased in several tons of concrete and not be opened during its operating life, which is now estimated at 30 years.

# Stanley Ho - Deployment: Understand JRE Download Size - The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) doesn't have to be nearly as big as I thought it had become. If you use the on-line installer on a western (English) system, it's only 7.2 megs. [cafe]

# Apache - Jakarta Commons Net - Java implementations of the client side of many basic Internet protocols. I'm linking to it because I may find it useful at some point. FTP, NNTP, SMTP, POP3, Telnet, TFTP, Finger, Whois, rexec/rcmd/rlogin, Time (rdate) and Daytime, Echo, Discard. [cafe]

# XBOX.com - Xbox 360 Fact Sheet - one bitchin' powerful game machine planned for release Christmas 2005. No price mentioned. [wes]
