localhost.ee - pop.swf - a Flash animation allowing you to pop the bubbles on that bubbly packing material. Hehe. Don't miss "Manic mode". [leor]

Folers-R-Us.org - "The Tactical Fighting Folders Site" is an "Internet reference site, with all you ever wanted to know about the fighting folding knives, or tactical folders, as they are called. If you are interested in learning more about the tactical fighting folder, who makes fighting folding knives, the technology involved in such folders, or you just want to ask our expert some question about them, please come in..." Run by John Caradimas and Robin Brown (Brownie). [highroad]

William Stone, III at The Libertarian Enterprise - Republican Whores - Bushnev gets caught in a lie about Iraq, and he takes a page from the Klinton play-book and says he never said it. And his whores support him. Over and over again. [tle]

What's the difference between a Republican and a Democrat? The Republicans are in power at the moment, and the Democrats aren't.

Wendy McElroy at The Libertarian Enterprise - Do Poor Fathers Deserve Debtors' Prison? - of course not, but they're being imprisoned in large numbers. The courts can't easily discriminate between a father who refuses to support his children and one who can't afford to. So they imprison anyone who doesn't pay. Once in jail, they can't pay a penny, no matter how much they care about their children. Personally I think that all government-supported child and social "services" organizations should be shut down. They do more harm than good. If people want to create voluntarily funded companies that help people with their family problems without the coercion implicit in government, I support them. But if they're going to point guns at us to force us to comply, hang 'em. [tle]

The personal stories can be heartbreaking, such as those told in the suicide notes of fathers left without a means of supporting themselves. Other stories are infuriating, like that of Bobby Sherrill. Working in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion of 1990, Sherrill was taken hostage. Upon his release and return to America, he was arrested for failure to make support payments while captive.
