From The Federalist:
"The true crisis facing us is not a physical shortage of energy, but rather the looming threat that socialist economic planning will replace market mechanisms and cause unnecessary shortages." --Ron Paul
"We have seen the Democrat solution to an energy crisis; it's called California." --Rep. J.C. Watts
"The most successful terrorist organizations on earth are government tax agencies...." --Joseph Sobran
Florida Girl, Banned From Graduation Over Knife, Won't Face Trial - The DA says he can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Lindsay Brown knew about the knife in her car, hence he can't convict her, so he won't bring her to trial. Good news for Ms. Brown, but anyone who thinks it should be illegal to have a knife in your car has no business being in any position of power. [market]
Charley Reese at the Orlando Sentinel - Ready, aim, fire: Ah, the joys of shooting - A nice article about shooting sports. [lew]
I got a Microsoft optical mouse with the nice little scroll wheel. I hadn't tried a scroll wheel before. Very nice!
In a marathon hacking session until after 3am this morning, I made the
changes I talked about
yesterday to my weblog maintenance Emacs code. I can now maintain
multiple web sites and edit any one of them simply by opening a text
file in its directory hierarchy. I also started writing some
documentation. I have christened my new system "BlogMax", sort of a
mixture of weblog and Emacs, with a curtsy to
NewsMax. I'll link to the docs when enough is there to be
useful. The code so far is available
here. My use of the {include}
macro on that page is
a mind bomb, IMNSHO. Yowzers!
