Moving Day
I decided to write my own Emacs package, weblog.el, to support what I use in Manila (I did a little work to make this look reasonable in a browser, but to really look at it, you'll have to save it to a file and use a text editor). Since I'm 10 times better at writing Lisp than UserTalk, I've managed to finish most of the code in just a day's work. 19K of Emacs code got me enough to convert my daily entries and most of The Libertarian stories. FTP upload took 16 lines of code. What a joy to write Lisp code again! Lisp rules! For now, I'm leaving the Stories on wws.editthispage.com. Migration later. There'll be lots of broken links in the older stuff, and I didn't start maintaining titles in the stories until the beginning of 2001. If you find something you really want fixed, send mail and I'll do it.
It's likely that my package won't be as easy for you to use as it is for me. Currently, you need to be very conversant with Emacs to use it. Also, I have been storing my weblog entries in text files since about the second time that editthispage lost a day. I'm missing some of my files from December of 1999, and quite a few stories, but everything else appears to be there.
witchestit at Ohio Valley IMC - Dear Peace Officer - this one hit Sierra Times a while back. Nice to see it again, especially here.
