Saw "Sophie Scholl, The Final Days"
Zeitgeist Films' movie about the "trial" and execution of three members of the White Rose Society finally came to a nearby theater. I watched it tonight. Well done telling of the tale. What struck me was how peacefully all three of the portrayed accused went along with the "authorities". I would have a hard time considering the nazis to be human, and would consider it my duty to kill or maim my captors whenever possible. Leave me an arm or a leg to hit with or a tooth to bite with, and I would. Going along with "law and order" was the Germans', and the Jews', downfall. If it feels evil, kill it, while you still can.
The movie was also a good reminder that Amerika has not fallen as low as Nazi Germany. Yet. But they're working on it.
There are still a few more showings in U.S. theaters. They expect to ship a DVD in November. Go here to get on their mailing list to be informed about the DVD.
