Police on Saturday arrested gun-rights advocate and 2002 Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Rick Stanley on charges that he failed to appear in court as ordered and that he threatened two Adams County judges.

Michael Cacioppo, a supporter of Stanley's and the publisher of Eagle County's conservative Speakout! newspaper, said he believes that all of Stanley's arrests have been unconstitutional.
Stanley now faces two felony counts of attempting to influence a public servant. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 24 years in prison.
