We watched xXx on DVD last night and went to bed about 10pm. Victoria has a stomach flu, as evidenced three times early this morning. Her mother is showing signs of it, too, though there's been no physical evidence yet. Oh joy.

The Politically Correct Twelve Days of Euro-Centric Imposed Mid-Winter Festival is a hilarious rewrite of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Stephen Stetson at the Troy (AL) Messenger - Another Drug War - point a camera at a hovering helicopter, get a visit from seven different law enforcement agencies. And the Alabama Marijuana Party is born. [cures-not-wars]

Judy Nichols at The Arizona Republic - Fliers facing new baggage search rules - All checked baggage to be scanned. All scan alarms trigger a hand search. Locks will be broken. Plastic locks will be provided and replaced if removed for a search. Looks like a market for same-day delivery of baggage is about to open up, eh? From the smith2004 discussion of this story:

If you have to fly,be sure to bring plenty of KY.

Ireland On-Line - UK police given power to block escape from terror attacks - They're going to trap the victims in the cities after a biological or chemical attack. [smith2004]

Leo Webster at North American Samizdat - Where Do We Go from Here? - comments on the demise of Free-Market.Net.

We The People - Schulz Rebukes DOJ Letter to Congressman - Bob Schulz is still at it with his effort to get the slime in Washington to answer his questions about the income theft, er... tax.

Chris Lydgate and Nick Budnick at Willamette Week - RUBBISH! Portland's top brass said it was OK to swipe your garbage-- so we grabbed theirs. - turnabout is fair play, eh? It sure made these proponents of warrantless garbage snooping mad when reporters snooped their garbage. Serve's 'em right. Cryptome mirror here. [smith2004]
