Do Some Summer Freedom!

I woke up this morning with "Wake Up Sunshine" from Chicago 2 (1970) playing in my head.
Wake up Sunshine.
Open up your sleepy eyes for me-ee.
Can't have you hidin'.
I've been waiting all the night.
People waiting for the light.
Sunshine... Sunshine...

Wake up Sunshine.
Let me feel your warm sunlight on me-ee.
Can't have you hidin'.
Night was long and night was cold,
But today we're one day older.
Sunshine, you make my life Sunshine.

You know I'm talkin' to you.
I know you're knowin' it too.
So just stop hidin' your face.
Just open your eyes.
Just smile your smile.
I'm talkin' to you.

Wake up sunshine.
Whoo it's good to have you here with me.
Can't have you hidin'.
Can't imagine what I'd do but
Feel too lonely without you.
Sunshine... Sunshine...
You got to wake up girl
And face the day ahead.

There's a new issue of Doing Freedom!. I made a mirror. Churchmouse writes on the Escapees, "a club for people who travel in recreational vehicles (RVs) campers, vans, and buses". Spooner writes on time-delay ignition methods and how to improvise an igniter. Sunni writes about privacy-preserving transportation in the city, reviews Claire & L. Neil's new books, tells us about losing and regaining the doingfreedom.com domain, and gives some Freedom Advice. A couple of sci-fi stories. Joe Six-Pack. World-wide secession movements. LRT Update. Guns Save Lives. Shout it from the rooftops. Erect signs facing highways. Freedom Classifieds.

Mike Magee at The Inquirer - Alpha up for grabs - seems that Compaq is selling the crown jewel of microprocessor design (technically, IMHO), the Alpha. Buyer unknown, but deal imminent. Maybe Intel, AMD, or IBM. Mr. Magee recommends buying Compaq stock. Soon. The deal may go down as early as tomorrow. Slashdot discussion here. [/.]

I downloaded Opera for Linux and installed it in my Suse 6.4 VM. Works well. Starts instantly, unlike any app on Windoze. Think I'll DL a Java VM for Linux next week at the office (it's big), and see if our application works.
