Vala: High-Level Gnome Programming Language
Vala is a high-level language for making Gnome applications. It compiles to C, and uses the standard Gnome libraries. It appears to make GUI apps incredibly simple to create, and, since that C gets compiled to machine code, probably has very few performance problems. Haven't tried it, and won't until I ship Trubanc, but looks highly cool. [Barry]
