unBlacking Wikipedia
Wikipedia's English pages are blacked out today, protesting SOPA and PIPA. If you really need to see a page, you can disable Javascript in your browser, use a portable browser, or use one of the methods below to add a link to your bookmarks bar.
In both Firefox and Chrome, you can drag deSOPA to the bookmarks bar. In Firefox, you can right-click it and choose "Bookmark This Link".
To install the bookmark "by hand":
Create a bookmark bar bookmark. In Chrome, right-click an empty space in the bookmark bar, and select "Add Page...". In Firefox, same right click, and select "New Bookmark...". Name it what you will. I called it "deSOPA". Paste in the following text as the "URL" in Chrome or the "Location" in Firefox:
javascript:var f=function(x,y){document.getElementById(x).style.display=y;};f('mw-sopaOverlay','none');f('content','block');f('mw-head','block');f('mw-panel','block');f('footer','block');
Click your new "deSOPA" link to reveal the content behind the blackout on a Wikipedia page.
