The New Ruger American Rifle

Jeff Quinn at Gunblast - The Ruger American is a new bolt-action rifle. Looks to me like Ruger's response to Savage. It has a removable 4-round box magazine, an adjustable trigger with integrated Glock-and-Accutrigger-like safety lever, short-throw big-ball bolt, and good out-of-the-box accuracy. MSRP: $450. Available mid-January, according to Ruger's page. Available in .243, .270, 30-06, and .308.

It is about time Ruger got on the bargain bandwagon. Here locally Remington's bargain entry sells under 400 with scope, Savage's 249 without scope and 349 with scope. I can't wait to see the street values. Thanks Bill.

Nothing new

Nothing new here folks, nice rifle, but it's not like there are not enough to choose from now. Not any ground breaking features, not really inexpensive so this should impress me how?
