Superintendent's Statement on Powdered Sugar Arrest
Dr. Michael Radakovich wrote an official statement about the boy charged with a felony for carrying sugar. The "District Spokesman" emailed me a copy, which I posted at the link. Well, at least it wasn't a felony charge, but the police should never have been involved. Guess they don't see it that way though:
The Aurora Police Department is absolutely committed to a safe learning environment in all schools as evidenced by our close relationship with all of the school districts in the city. Narcotics, whether they are actual or perceived, have no place in our community much less in educational institutions.
These, uh... people, obviously aren't worth talking to. They are beyond lost. They would get a lot more than nasty letters if it were my son they arrested.
