U.S. Supreme Court: State Medical Marijuana Laws Not Preempted by Federal Law
Ihustlefourtwenty Gobiginternational at 4Gram8th - The Supreme Court has refused to review a California state court ruling that forces some local cops to return medical marijuana seized during an arrest of a state-legal marijuana user under federal law. The ruling says that local cops may not enforce federal law if it disagrees with state law. Won't stop federal cops from arresting legal marijuana users, but at least reduces the harm of federal prohibition.
