Meet Tera
I needed a better back-up medium, and a place to store my less-used music, making room for more hi-res HDTracks.com downloads, so I aimed my browser at Newegg.com, and looked for portable USB hard drives. Found an ADATA terabyte drive for only $90. It came with a sheet of colorful stick-on letters, so I named her "Tera". She's about 4/3 the dimensions of a deck of cards, sorta like a pocket notebook. Her cord fits into a wrap-around channel, so it's always there (but still removable, using a small USB-2 connector). Bus-powered, of course. Works good. Time will tell on reliability.
