From kimdutoit:
"Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom." -- John F. Kennedy

From smith2004:

"It is not the purpose of education to produce good citizens, but to help children become successful human beings. The former is properly identified as "indoctrination" and, when undertaken at the taxpayers' expense, should be illegal." -- L. Neil Smith
and:
"As long as women go for a man in uniform, there will be war." -- unattributed

From liberty:

"The legislature has been meeting and making laws for over a hundred years. One would think that this is enough time for making all essential laws, and thus I think they should be permanently disbanded before they do real harm." -- an old man in a Stevensville, MT bar in 1995

From geekwitha.45:

"To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot 'em." -- Ted Nugent at the NRA convention

# Bill St. Clair - Waco Justice - today is the twelfth anniversary of the brutal murder by the Clinton administration of 82 people at Waco, 22 of them innocent helpless little children. Janet Reno, the self-proclaimed architect of this atrocity, and the other perps, are still Waco tanks and fire breathing. Time to read or re-read my classic essay on how to fix that. And, of course, today is the two-hundred thirtieth anniversary of the shot heard round the world. It's way past time for another.

# Serendipity - The Waco Massacre - in case you've forgotten, were too young when it happenned to know, or just need to recharge your anger cells, this is a good place to start. [google]

# Kim du Toit - GFWs Lose Their First Battle, Win The Later Ones - a reflection on the shot heard round the world (GFW = Gun-fearing wussy). [kimdutoit]

# The Onion - French's Introduces Antibacterial Mustard - another satirical masterpiece. Remember kids, sterile = dead. [saltypig]

# Trevor Romain - Faith in Humanity - a tear jerker. Don't miss it. [kimdutoit]

# Jeb Hensarling in the U.S. House of Representatives - H.R. 1606, the "Online Freedom of Speech Act", amends the Incumbent Protection Act (McCain-Feingold) to exclude the internet from the communications regulated by the f.e.c. Short, easy to understand. It currently has no cosponsors. I sent the following to my Congress Critter: [geekwitha.45]

Please cosponsor H.R. 1606, Jeb Hensarling's "Online Freedom of Speech Act". This act excludes the internet from communications regulated by the Federal Elections Commission, preventing much nashing of teeth by yours truly and my friends. It would be better, of course, to completely repeal the McCain-Feingold Incumbent Protection Act, but this is a good start.
