I was up until 11pm, singing and dancing with a couple of hundred lovers of Allah. Then up at 3am for fajr. Got a couple more hours sleep before time to feed the animals (my family is away, so I'm maintaining the menagerie). Another morning with the Shaiks today. Al-hamdu lillah!

If you don't have Shaiks to hang out with today, why not fire some rounds down-range. Today is the first annual 50 Million Round March.

Libertarian Party Press Release - Bestselling author Peter McWilliams is "murdered by the War on Drugs":

"First, the federal government arrested McWilliams for doing something that is 100% legal in California," he [Steve Dasbach, LP national director] said. "Then, they put him on trial and wouldn't allow him to introduce the one piece of evidence that could have explained his actions. Finally, they let him out of jail on the condition that he couldn't use the one medicine that kept him alive.

"What the federal government did to Peter McWilliams is nothing less that cold-blooded, premeditated murder. A good, decent, talented man is dead because of the bipartisan public policy disaster known as the War on Drugs."

If you don't already read Dave Winer's Scripting News every day, read yesterday's edition. Good stuff about Courtney Love's recent speech, Todd Rundgren, Amazon bullying, ...

Ron Paul's Texas Straight Talk - A Big Win for Medical Privacy in Congress Dr. Paul pats himself on the back for once again preventing us from having a "uniform standard health identifier". Thank you, Dr. Paul.

Lexi Word Processor version 0.1.0 is available. Lexi is a pure Java 2 word processor. I haven't tried it. [meat]

PlugProxy version 1.02 is a free plug proxy (aka port forwarder) implementation released under the GPL. Written in Java. I might have a use for this as a way to put a pinhole through our corporate firewall. [meat]
