My M-Audio AV40 monitors have served me well, but it's time for an upgrade. Just ordered these. More when they arrive. Click on image for full-size.

Very pretty! But who makes 'em?

I'm thinking about new speakers, The PSB Image T6 look like the ones:

Rave reviews, and I can (almost) afford 'em!

I'm not saying

I'm not saying until I get them (next Wednesday!) and have confirmed that they're as good as I think they are. Then I'll write a short, likely glowing, review.

They're near-field monitors, designed for desktop use, shielded so they'll work near a CRT (but who has CRTs any more?) For a clue, click on the image, and look at the name of the image file.

Ah!

The Swan M200MKII. Excellent choice. I'd looked at them before but couldn't remember where. Swan (a.k.a. HI-VI Research) makes some excellent drivers, and I've heard the finished systems are excellent too. Keep us posted!

Actually, MkIII

Actually, MkIII, the next in the line from the MkII. Bigger woofer, so slightly better low-end, and lots more power. As I said earlier, I'll post a full review, with unboxing photos (comes in white draw-string bags with white cloth gloves), after I get a chance to listen to them for a few days. That will likely be next weekend.
