Scientists respond to Gore's warnings of climate catastrophe

Tom Harris at The Libertarian Enterprise - Algore may have found a bunch of "scientists" to support his myth of CO2-precipitated global warming, but had he asked those who actually study climate change for a living, he would have told a different story. The warming is local, not global, and its cause is more likely variations in the Sun, not carbon dioxide. [tle]

Professor Bob Carter of the Marine Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University, in Australia gives what, for many Canadians, is a surprising assessment: "Gore's circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they, and his film, are commanding public attention."

...

Carter does not pull his punches about Gore's activism, "The man is an embarrassment to US science and its many fine practitioners, a lot of whom know (but feel unable to state publicly) that his propaganda crusade is mostly based on junk science."

Thanks for the link to another perspective on this story. I note that you're not sure enough of your opinion to grace it with your name.

Personally, I'm not sure whether global warming is for real, but since it's pushed by the same people that have been pushing the pseudo-science of "second-hand smoke" and other so-called environmental disasters, I find it hard to give much credence. And my special place in hell will be where I throttle both God and Satan. They're both worthless blighters.
