Dale Amon at Samizdata.net - China has had a near monopoly on rare earth elements until recently, when they raised their prices. This has exposed their "monopoly" for what it was, a willingness to take a loss to gain market share. Now that their prices are closer to reality, other manufacturers are entering the market. Remember folks, only state aggression can maintain a monopoly.
