Obama Calls For National Civilian Stasi

Paul Joseph Watson at Prison Planet - this was just the first hit of a Google search.

Obama said last July, "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." It occurred to me that we should start supporting this idea, but in a fashion a bit different than Obama was probably thinking. America already has a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, but probably not just as well-funded as the military. It's called the unorganized militia. We are all members (though 10 USC 311 includes only males younger than 45). And the Second Amendment is supposed to guarantee us unfettered access to military weapons, including at least full-auto rifles and shoulder-mounted heat-seaking or laser-guided missiles. Add a 100% tax credit for militia equipment, and we'll be pretty well funded.

Having a tax credit presumes

Having a tax credit presumes taxes in the first place. If we're going to dream, let's dream big.

You're right, of course. My dream is always the complete elimination of the very concept of the state, but getting them to stay in their Constitutional box would be a good start.
