April 15th: 'Theft-by-Government Day'- the plain truth

Kent McManigal at The Albuquerque Libertarian Examiner - taxation is theft, or more accurately and disgustingly, taxation is extortion.

Taxation is theft. It really is as simple as that. What else would you call it when someone takes your money (your possession) away from you by threat of force when you do not want to give it to them?
Do I have a right to my own life? What is "life" except the time you are alive? I have traded

a significant portion of my life for money in order to trade the money for some other things I lack the knowledge, skill, or inclination to do personally. Does my life, expressed through my money, belong to me? If it doesn't, then taxation would be alright. However, if it does, then if someone takes it from me against my will, it doesn't matter to me whether it is a government agent or a mugger in a dark alley. Theft is theft.

I agree entirely. The ludicrous taxes that the government is imposing on the citizens are outright stealing! My entire philosophy is that political parties are destroying the nation, just as George Washington said that they would, and that is evident these taxes as well! The Liberals/Democrats raise taxes for a million different causes, and it's like a stain in a carpet- it never really comes out! If the Conservatives/Republicans get power again, they will either try to lower the taxes OR (more likely) divert where the tax money goes. But if the causes that the L/Cs integrated into the system don't get money, infrastructure will begin to collapse, even if in a minor sense. Chain reactions, I'm telling you! The same will happen in the reverse (L/C takeover after C/R)! I repeat- political parties have gone too far from their original perspective of a way to prove a point into corrupt, dogmatically followed "religion"s!
