Joe Walsh -
Funk #49 - I spent an hour or so last night looking for this song
that I heard on the radio. I could sing the guitar part, the reason I
like the song, but all I remembered of the lyrics was "I know where
you're going". Google to the rescue. The link goes to a guitar tab
page for the song.
Lyrics below.
Sleep all day, out all night
I know where you're goin'
I don't think that's actin' right
You don't think it's showin'
Jumpin' up, fallin' down
Don't misunderstand me
You don't think that I know your plan
What you tryin' a hand me?
Out all night, sleep all day
I know what you're doin'
If you're gonna act that way
I think there's trouble brewin'
And a transliteration of how I scat the guitar lick. It starts with a
descending blues scale with a lift on the last note: d-c-a-g-f-c-d
Daya doo dot dot, doo-wat. Wooowwww!
Daya doo dot dot, doo-wat [2, 3, 4].
Daya doo dot dot, doo-wat. Wooowwww!
Daya doo dot dot, doo-wat doe, doat.
Dot chuku-chuku doo-wat chuku-chuku (unhhhh)
I know where you're goin'
Dada dot dot doo-wat dot Doowwww!
You don't think it's showin'
Daya doo dot dot, doo-wat. Wooowwww!
Daya doo dot dot, doo-wat [2, 3, 4].
