Out Sick

From The Federalist:
Ever wonder what some retired folks do with all that spare time? Well, we recently received this comment from one of our elder-Patriots explaining what they do for fun. "I drove to a coffee shop on Broadway last Wednesday. I was only there for a few minutes, but when I came out, there was a foot-patrol officer issuing a parking ticket. I walked right up to him and complained, 'Come on, copper, how about giving a senior citizen a break?' He glared at me over his ticket book and continued writing. So I called a name, and it was not his surname. He glared at me again and then said he was adding a citation for 'worn tires.' So I upped the ante and by telling him, 'I am going to sign a complaint against you for harassment. You targeted my car for a ticket just because it has a Kerry-Edwards sticker on it.' He replied by giving me his badge number, then called his dispatcher to see if the car had outstanding tickets -- which of course it did. With a big grin, he said to me, 'Granny (I really hate it when people I don't know call me "granny"), you will have to find another ride home Flush the Johns in 2004 because I am having this vehicle towed.' So I just snarled at him and walked around the corner and down the block to where my car -- the one with the 'Flush the Johns!' sticker on it -- was parked."

I'm sick today. Feel like I was run over by a truck. No blogging until I feel better.
