From stanleyscoop, author unknown:
Dear Average American

When they took away the 4th Amendment,
you were quiet,
because you didn't deal drugs.

When they took away the 6th Amendment,
you were quiet,
because you were innocent.

When they took away the 2nd Amendment,
you were quiet,
because you don't own a gun.

Now they are taking away the 1st Amendment,
and very soon,
if you continue to be quiet,
you will have no choice,
but to be quiet.

# Rick Stanley - from The Stanley Scoop for 06/16/04:

STANLEY SPECIAL NOTE: The Scoop has been down since Sunday because all of my employees quit on Monday, including the secretary who formatted the Scoop from what I selected to go out on the Scoop. The IRS and government agents have been very successful in the past week of sabotaging the business, the Scoop and of course, me. I have hired a new webmaster to help with the Scoop and the website. Back on the road to freedom and liberty. I will continue as long as I can. The GATHERING is still on for June 20-25, the dinner the 20th at Maggianos and the demonstartions in front of the Adams County Courthouse in Brighton, June 21-25 during my trial. An employee who handled $60,000.00 per month in business for my company has also quit and gone to work for a competitor, in spite of her signed contract that she would not have contact or sell to any of the customers she worked with at my firm, for a period of two years after leaving Stanley for any reason. This is a standard contract and is enforceable. It was a condition of her representaion of Stanley Fastener and Shop Supply. She has chosen to deny her solemn word and contractual obligation not to do this. I will overcome, however it keeps getting harder each and every day. The government agents have been trying to get all of my employees to quit for about a month now. Seems they were succesful, as all but one driver has quit. Down to myself, my wife and one driver.

It would appear that the economic ramifications of the past weeks events are helping to destroy my ability to continue to make enough money to operate the business, which affords me the money to fight back and expose the fraud of a government that is destroying America. I will continue as long as I can. Next week, I will be absent from the business all week, for the trial that I must attend to defend myself from felony charges of "Influencing a Public Official". We are now losing large amounts of money each week because of the events that have transpired the last week, by the governmnet's hand. Eventually, the destruction of me and my business will come back to haunt them dearly, but the damage done NOW, is very destructive NOW to me. If I lose the trial and am put in jail, the business will continue as long as my wife can survive. The future is uncertain, to say the least. The GATHERING becomes so very important, to insure a fair trial for Rick Stanley, each and every day. Go to www.stanley2002.org for information regarding the trial week entitled the GATHERING and how you can participate. Organizers will be in front of the Brighton Courthouse from 7:30 AM Monday morning, through the trials end on Friday. They will have hand out materials and signs for supporters to work with. God bless those who are coming. It is time. You are needed to stand for freedom and liberty. This Patriot will go down without your support. A fair trial without the court watchers, the demonstrators, the people to hand out FIJA information, the sign carriers, etc, is probably not going to happen. A Patriot and America needs your participation.

# The Albany Times-Union has been printing a bunch of letters recently concerning their editorials about reforming the Rockefeller drug laws. I sent the following letter to the editor:

There's been lots of noise in the TU recently about reforming the Rockefeller drug laws. It seems that police departments are against it. Dunh. They don't want to lose their asset forfeiture cash cow. In 2002, in the Bronx alone, over a million dollars worth of assets were seized (www.bronxda.net/fcrime/stats.htm). Asset forfeiture is really armed robbery under color of law. No individual or group who profits from it should have any input whatsoever in changes to the law.

Most drug arrests are for possession of cannabis (aka marijuana), a nearly harmless herb with unique medicinal properties. Industrial hemp, marijuana's non-psychoactive cousin, has a myriad of uses: cloth, paper, oil, food. The psychoactive variety should be available in bulk in the health food store for a few dollars an ounce. American farmers should be profiting from the industrial variety, instead of importing it from China or Canada.

Arresting a peaceful person for possessing, or selling, a vegetable, is a crime. No legislature has the authority to create a law banning it, and no cop has the authority to arrest someone for it. Cops who enforce these illegal laws have committed assault and kidnapping. Legislators who create them are guilty of conspiracy to commit mass assault and kidnapping. Kidnapping is a capital offense. I suggest due process, speedy trials, and public hangings.

# Terry Jones at Guardian Unlimited - This won't hurt much - a little satire on the Bushevik lawyers' definition of torture. Hehe. [whatreallyhappened]

For some time now, I've been trying to find out where my son goes after choir practice. He simply refuses to tell me. He says it's no business of mine where he goes after choir practice and it's a free country.

Now it may be a free country, but if people start going just anywhere they like after choir practice, goodness knows whether we'll have a country left to be free. I mean, he might be going to anarchist meetings or Islamic study groups. How do I know?

The thing is, if people don't say where they're going after choir practice, this country is at risk. So I have been applying a certain amount of pressure on my son to tell me where he's going. To begin with I simply put a bag over his head and chained him to a radiator. But did that persuade him? Does the Pope eat kosher?

...

I tried starving him, serving him only cold meals and shaving his facial hair off, keeping him in stress positions, not turning his light off, playing loud music outside his cell door - all the usual stuff that any concerned parent will do to find out where their child is going after choir practice. But it was all to no avail.

I hesitated to gravitate to harsher interrogation methods because, after all, he is my son. Then Donald Rumsfeld came to my rescue.

Attention: all you jack booted thugs and various bureaucratic and judicial tyrants. American patriots are going to kill the lot of you.

"How dare she say that", some of you say. Am I some sort of wild-eyed radical? Well, frankly, yes. In the tradition of the greatest President this or any country on earth has ever had, Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty, he said, must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants. Inevitably, you will kill some of us. But don't fret: it's our job to supply the blood of tyrants, and we will make sure you are not left out.

...

Did you ever do anything as a public official to prohibit the free exercise of religion? To prohibit free speech? To prohibit free assembly? Did you infringe upon the right of even one American to keep and bear arms? Were you ever responsible for an illegal search or an illegal seizure? Ever impose excessive bail? Or excessive fines? Ever deny a right to trial by jury? Ever deny a trial at all? Ever hold a "secret trial"? Ever deny the right of a defendant to the counsel of his choosing? (And not just his choice of "state-approved lawyers") Ever engage in an eminent domain confiscation? Ever allow cruel and unusual punishment?

Well, then YOU TOO, might just be sentenced to hang under a Bill of Rights Enforcement trial. This is not just something we are whimsically contemplating. This is something we are going to do. This is something which may happen to YOU. Whether elected, appointed, or a mere civil servant. It is also too, if you've already committed the crimes, too late to repent.

It may not be the most vicious American tyrants who wind up on Haman's Gallows. It may just be the ones with the most damning paper trails. And the ones with the most indictable paper trails are the taxing agencies and the courts. A lot of those "Rodney King" beatings by cops might be buried in the system and disguised as something else, and even when brought forth, may boil down to a "he said, she said". But the paper trails won't lie. The illegal prosecutions and court records, detailing the misdeeds of the judges and prosecutors, won't lie. The tax records won't lie. And while government spooks of the CIA and NSA may be swift enough to evade capture for any treason trials, the pencil-pushing bureaucrat won't be.

...

Legal disclaimer: do not take this as a personal threat

Do not interpret this as a specific threat on my part of any officer, judge, or bureaucrat that I have personally dealt with. If *I* have any say about this whatsoever, and I intend to, there will be no outright killings. Rather there will be a series of "fair trials". Trials at which you will be able to be represented by the counsel of your choice, and unlike YOUR system, your counsel won't have to be approved before some private or public bar or by the government. Trials at which you will have a right to a jury of your peers, since you will probably be on trial for your life.

And trials to be conducted by impartial parties. In other words, I will not be able to preside over a proceeding where I was the victim, or where I have a past negative history with the accused which would impede my ability to remain impartial. Just as Randy Weaver will not be a judge over the people who killed his family, the Branch Davidians will not be a judge in the trial of the people who killed their brethren, and Rick Stanley will not be an official or juror concerning the people who put him on trial, despite the "apparent threat" he made that has him on the hotseat now.

So to anyone, anywhere, who ever rendered improper treatment to me, this is not a direct threat by me to you. I will not be able to serve as a judge, prosecutor, or juror on your trial. That wouldn't be fair. Heck, you may not even have been found by an impartial prosecutor to be likely guilty of treason or corruption, regardless of how much I might hate you. Or perhaps there will simply be "bigger fish to fry". So I can't even safely predict you'll even be arrested or put on trial.

# Carl Bussjaeger at The Mansfield News Journal - Drop charges in Ashland weapons case - great letter urging Ashland County prosecutor DeSanto to drop the charges against Hunter.

# Edgar J. Steele - Together, We Can Take Back America! - the text of a speech given in New Orleans on May 30. Jew bashing, as usual, but an underlying thread of truth, IMHO.

# Solari.com - July 4th Declaration of Financial Transformation - encourages people to pull their money out of large multi-national banks and deposit it in local ones. I did that a while back, for practical, not political reasons, but I think it's also a good idea politically. [stanleyscoop]

# Kim du Toit - Delta Dawn Sunset - Delta Airlines may not survive. Good riddance. The entire airline industry should go under if they don't start telling the Taking Scissors Away goons to go away. Now I suppose there are some people that want the occupants of their airplanes to be stripped of their nail clippers and other horrible "weapons". Let the market decide. Get the government out of the airplane sekurity business and see which policies survive in the marketplace. [kimdutoit]

# Martyn Williams at MacCentral - Fujitsu begins 100GB notebook hard drive production - a hundred gigs in a notebook computer. Wow! [wes]
