From kaba:
If you think it's wrong to kill someone who is about to kill you, you are too stupid to be allowed to vote. -- Michael James

From brad:

Seen on the back of a dump truck:

"<---PASSING SIDE                    SUICIDE--->"

We're heading back north first thing tomorrow morning. I may do an update on Tuesday night, but probably not till Wednesday, in sha' allah. We got the back door straightened out and repainted, but they couldn't get the molding for the back window in time, so we'll be driving with 6 mil plastic inside and outside, possibly better insulation than the glass, though the visibility isn't nearly as good.

Joseph Sobran at LewRockwell.com - Hail, Switzerland! - some call America the freest country on earth. Not so! It's Switzerland. [lew]

Most rulers want to Americanize their countries; but if they really cared about their people's welfare -- lives, liberty, property, and all that -- they would try to Swissify. It's a sign of the times that I am forced to coin this indispensable verb.

Mike Head at World Socialist Web Site - Australia's secret police to get unprecedented powers - the right to remain silent is no more down under. Habeus corpus has also been eliminated. People can be held without charge and jailed for five years if they refuse to talk. [grabbe]
