From kaba:

Public Notice:

Apparently, the recent issues have brought far more voters out than was anticipated. The polls are likely to be overcrowded. Accordingly, the election commission has asked that Libertarians and Republicans vote on Tuesday the 7th, and Democrats, Reform Party and Green Party voters vote on Wednesday the 8th. Please spread the word.

KeepAndBearArms.com - Beware the Gorelet: cartoon commentary on Bore's opinion of the constitution. [kaba]

Two new articles from Linda Hamilton:

  • FREEDOM: thanks to supporters and some things Linda has learned about how the courts work where she lives.
If the police deceide to extract their special breed of revenge on you they will and it will go something like this. Routine traffic stop, the usual illegal search of your car and "TA-DA" some controlled substance that mysteriously fell out of the sky will be found.
  • WARRIORS: Why GOAL, NRA, GOA, and other similar groups will never win the war by "working within a corrupt system run by corrupt people."
We invite GOAL, the NRA, GOA and all those who care about FREEDOM to join our growing army of warriors. We are fighting by unconventional but perfectly legal means to beat the enemy. No attorney or judge will admit that these weapons exist. They intentionally don't teach this material in law school and one has to be a student of history to understand that the Founding Fathers put provisions in the Constitution so that every soverign citizen could remain free.

Pat McCartney at the Auburn Journal via Marijuana News - Kubby Prosecution Ends Not With a Bang but a Whimper: The prosecution phase of the trial of Steve and Michele Kubby is over, and the defense has already won in Mr. McCartney's opinion. [mjn]

Taxgate - Arrow Custom Plastics Ends Withholding: Dick Simkanin of Arrow Custom Plastics has stopped asking his employees for their beast numbers and has stopped sending withholding to the IRS. Arrow Plastics has a list of Other Non W-4 Companies. Mr. Simkanin, I salute you! [grabbe]

The company does not have the authority nor the police power to determine if the people that work for Arrow are or are not responsible for any tax what-so-ever. Also, Arrow has determined that they are not an agent for any government agency, including the IRS. In the past, Arrow has acted as an agent, FREE of CHARGE, for the IRS and collected money from every employee and passed it along to the IRS. Arrow has determined that this could be construed a conspiracy with the IRS to defraud the people that work for Arrow. Arrow Custom Plastics no longer wishes to participate in such an activity.

BTW, 90% prayer and 10% consultation went into this decision.

Charley Reese at the Orlando Sentinel - Enough divide and conquer: elucidates the "clear choice" between GW and algore. I must admit, if I still believed in voting and if I still believed in the two-party system, I'd have to choose GW, but I don't currently believe in either. [lew]

John Derbyshire at the National Review - Ten More Things: Adds ten more to Larry Elder's list of The Ten Things You Can't Say in America. I'll do to his list what he did to Mr. Elder's:

11. American society is increasingly a conspiracy of the smart against the dumb

12. Ninety-nine per cent of the stuff exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art is esthetically worthless and will be utterly forgotten 100 years from now

13. Race is real

14. Public education is a failure

15. The main thing that male homosexuals like to do with each other is unhygienic, spreads disease, and pushes important body parts past their design limits

16. Racial profiling is common sense, and good, fair police practice

17. Our military has been crippled by insane attempts to prove that women make just as good soldiers, sailors and pilots as men

18. The U.S.A. is a conservative-Republican nation tilted over to the left by black people, who are overwhelmingly socialist

19. It sure is a shame what 19th-century Americans did to the Indians

20. For most people, college education is a waste of time and money

The Simon Wiesenthal Center - Anti-Government Hate Sites on the Internet: criticizing the government is now synonymous with hate, according to the weasels. A pretty good list of freedom sites. [grabbe]

Yay! "Manila" sites now have a referers page, so you can see when people follow links from other sites to yours. Thank, Dave!! Thanks, Brent!! [script]
