{@Dear Peace Officer} is an anonymous editorial submitted to the Sierra Times. This one was important enough that I had to save a copy. Strong words, but something that needs to be said. For a more long-winded statement of the same thesis (863 pages), read Unintended Consequences by John Ross. [sierra]

Project Greenglow is investigating anti-gravity. They have links to NASA's Break Through Propulsion Physics, Quantum Cavorite, and Electrogravity. The Electrogravity site looks especially interesting. How long before humanity joins the rest of the galaxy with our own flying saucers? My guess is that we're being prevented until we grow up and stop killing each other.

Vin Suprynowicz at the Sierra Times - Playing to the galleries: "The United States Senate is scheduled to vote today whether to send to the states for ratification a new Constitutional Amendment." The flag burning amendment. The first constitutional abridgement of our first amendment freedom of speech. Heaven help us if it gets out of the senate and is ratified by the states. [sierra]

Washington Post via Cannabis News - Senate OKs Bill Limiting Seizures: The senate passed by voice vote an amended version of the Civil Asset Forfeiture reform bill that the House passed last June. The amendment was a complete replacement of the bill, and I didn't spend the time to check out all the differences, but it's still a step in the right direction. I noticed that they excluded FDA & IRS theft from the reforms. Something I hadn't noticed before is that Dr. Ron Paul attempted to amend the house version so that property could not be stolen unless the owner was convicted of a crime, but the house denied his amendment. The bill is H.R.1658. [cn]

MSNBC via Cannabis News - Marijuana Advocate Sentenced: Scott McCormick was sentenced to the 5 years that he agreed to in his plea bargain. He will appeal. If the appeals court decides that Judge King was wrong to deny him the right to defend himself, he may go free. He may get out on bail until the appeal happens. Peter McWilliams' sentencing will be on May 22. [cn]

Claire Wolfe at mindmined.com - Welcome to Future Felons of America: Just for yucks, I did a search on alltheweb.com for "Claire Wolfe", and found this.

Gersh Kuntzman at the NY Post - 'Confidentially', Rudy Blew It: Herr Rudy unsealed and made public the juvenile records of Patrick Dorismond, the latest victim of New York's gestapo. Highly illegal, but the article talks about Rudy's likely political loss, not the criminal charges that he deserves. [cn]

Dr. Ron Paul - Paul Introduces Bill to Limit Census: "On Friday, Congressman Ron Paul introduced a privacy bill that will prohibit the Census Bureau from collecting any information from citizens except for name, address, and the number of people per residence. The bill, HR 4085, was prompted by scores of calls to Paul's office from constituents who felt the census form was too intrusive." Bravo! [sierra]
