Robert Anton Wilson, RIP
RAW Data - looks like Mr. Wilson gave somebody his Blogspot info so they could post, as him, the announcement of his departing this world. They're planning a memorial in February. Date to be announced. [clairefiles]
From Do Not Go Gently Into That Good Night, posted on January 6:
Various medical authorities swarm in and out of here predicting I have between two days and two months to live. I think they are guessing. I remain cheerful and unimpressed. I look forward without dogmatic optimism but without dread. I love you all and I deeply implore you to keep the lasagna flying.
Please pardon my levity, I don't see how to take death seriously. It seems absurd.
From I Don't Know, posted on December 5:
Wavy Gravy once asked a Zen Roshi, "What happens after death?"
The Roshi replied, "I don't know."
Wavy protested, "But you're a Zen Master!"
"Yes," the Roshi admitted, "but I'm not a dead Zen Master."
