MamaLiberty, RIP
I heard yesterday, on Gab, from a Wyoming neighbor of MamaLiberty, that she passed, succumbing to the cancer that she told us was quickly progressing.
I wept. Then I went out for a walk, to breathe. When I passed the local flower shop, I knew what to do. I plan to press those flowers when they start to fade, and frame them as a reminder of an old lady who I never met in person, but who I love more than I knew.
Mama Liberty walked her talk.
Rest in Peace, sister.

So sorry to hear of her
So sorry to hear of her passing. She and I re-established contact several weeks ago after a mutual friend told me of her situation. I'm grateful to have been able to be with her before she left us. She was a second mom to me and a grandma to the snolfs, in addition to her tireless work for freedom.
There won't be another like her. I cherish the time we had together, both in person and online. In one of my last emails to her, I reminded her that the warm thoughts she got in response to her farewell post at TPoL were just a fraction of the ripples of positive effects she's had in many people's lives, both in her career as a nurse and in her activism. Those ripples will continue through those of us who were fortunate enough to know her.
Godspeed, Susan Lady Knight.
