# I stayed up late last night installing Mac OSX Panther on our old Powerbook G4. That machine died a couple of months back, flaky display, and my wife bought a new machine. My son used his Christmas and birthday money to pay to have the old machine refurbished. For $300, Apple replaced the LCD display and gave us a new motherboard and 30 gig disk drive. The machine originally had 12 gigs of disk, but I don't think they make disks that small any more. They put OSX 10.2 on the machine, not Panther, 10.3, so I upgraded until late last night. I also installed NeoOffice/J, a Carbon (OSX's GUI) port of Open Office. Works great. Anyway, no more time for blogging this morning. Gotta get Victoria to school.
