The Black Arrow Arrives
"Guns are like breasts. If you don't allow boys to see them in public or television, they won't know they're there." -- Bug
# I received yesterday my copy of The Black Arrow by Vin Suprynowicz. Shipped 1/29, arrived 2/7, nine days to get from Vegas to the Berkshire boonies. Seven hundred beautifully bound pages. "This book is No. 92 of a first edition of 1,000 copies, leather-bound and signed by the author." Quotes of "Praise for 'The Black Arrow'" by Bill Brannon, Claire Wolfe, Sunni Maravillosa, Richard W. Stevens, and The Midwest Book Review. I read it last night until my eyes wouldn't stay open. Expect blogging to be light for a few days. Yippeeeeee!!!
# Downsize DC - No Child Left Undrugged - if you believe in contacting your congress critters, act now to support H.R. 181, the "Parental Consent Act of 2005", sponsored by Ron Paul and Tom Feeney. I added the following to their form letter:
I consider a state-mandated medical procedure, in the absence of a criminal conviction, to be assault, and will deal with it accordingly. Given that a state mandate means that I cannot appeal to the state for protection, I will be left with no choice but violence, should someone attempt to psychoanalyze or medicate a member of my family without my permission. Don't make me do that. Support HR 181.
