More Reloading Follies
"Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American... The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state government, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." -- Tench Coxe, Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788
I fired some of my hand-loaded 444 Marlin cartridges yesterday. They
all went bang. Nothing blew up. Unfortunately, the cartridges loaded
with the silver alloy 310 grain bullets wouldn't go into the
magazine. I had to load them one at a time. Maybe I can push the
bullet in a little more, but there's not much left before the bullet
taper will make crimping useless. They're long bullets, however, so
maybe crimping will be unnecessary; there's a full half-inch of
expanded case holding onto them with an unexpanded ridge at the back
of the bullet. More experimenting...

David Codrea at KeepAndBearArms.com - Two on a Match: An Open Questionnaire for Sonny Perdue and Roy Barnes - two candidates for governor of Georgia are asking for the NRA's endorsement. Mr. Codrea asks them some pointed questions to determine if they really support the second amendment. Good questions for anyone running for office.
