L. Neil Smith and Rylla Smith have been working for a while on a new libertarian treatise. It's not yet ready on dead trees, but what they've got so far is ready in HTML format. Still has a few typos, but very good stuff. Don't miss it.

Where-We-Stand.com

Plus "The Plan" and "On The Occasion of Libertopia 2010", which have already appeared in The Libertarian Enterprise.

Introduction to Online Edition

Welcome to the online "beta" edition of Where We Stand. You are reading this because I had hoped to have the book ready in time to be useful in the 2010 election, but when I had about 80,000 words written, I still had some topics to cover, and there wasn't enough tme left for "dead tree" publication, I decided to make the book available now.

It will be ready for the 2012 election, when it will no doubt be badly needed. The implacable socialist zombies we know as Democrats will have had two years of sparring with Republicans under their belt, and the Republicans will have had two years to generate plausible sounding excuses for lousing up the 2010 revolution as they did in 1994.

So for the time being, here are three dozen issue papers for liberty advocates to use, and I will be adding more, with the help of a co-auther whose father I have the privilege to be. We will add other features, as well, such as a good index, and suggestions at the end of each chapter for actions the reader can take to advance the cause of freedom.

During this "beta" period, your constructive suggestions will be appreciated.

L. Neil Smith
