Tree Falls on House

Yesterday morning, a tree fell on our house. Nobody hurt. Tree dispatched by my neighbor, to be burned to make maple syrup next spring. Patch put over the hole until we get it fixed.

That looks just like a friend's place in Great Barrington, Mass. I was there in late May, 1987, and between the rain and humidity, I thought I was going to drown. The incredible green was a nice change from the desert, but I was really glad to come home.

Bet the weeds in that jungle make gardening a real challenge! :)

Bill - on the linked page you've got the year down as 2011. Glad the damage wasn't too severe. You've got some serious trees where you live - you ought to see what passes for a tree in the SW deserts!

Looks like you've got a nice little place in the backwoods. Are you off the grid? How do you do your heat and electricity?
